These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") explain how South Jersey Home Repairs, LLC ("South Jersey Home Repairs," "we," "us," or "our") works, and the rules for homeowners and contractors who use our referral service. They apply when you use our website, southjerseyhomerepairs.com, submit a request or application, or contact us by phone, text, or email.
South Jersey Home Repairs is a referral network. We connect homeowners in South Jersey, mainly in Camden and Gloucester counties, with independent contractors.
Our service is free for homeowners. You are never obligated to hire a contractor we refer to you.
Any estimate, price, contract, deposit, payment, schedule, permit, warranty, or change to the work is solely between you and the contractor. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor.
If you have any problem with a contractor or their work, including quality, delays, damage, cost, cleanup, warranty claims, or conduct, you must take it up directly with the contractor. South Jersey Home Repairs is not responsible for any contractor's work and does not resolve disputes between homeowners and contractors. Because we do not perform or charge for the work, we do not issue refunds for it.
If you let us know about a problem, we may, at our choice, offer to match you with a different contractor, but we are not required to.
We make reasonable efforts to refer contractors we believe are reputable. We do not guarantee any contractor's licensing, registration, insurance, qualifications, availability, pricing, workmanship, or conduct, and that information can change at any time. Before you hire anyone, you should:
When you submit a request or contact us, you agree that we may contact you by phone, text, or email about your project. You also agree that we may share your name, contact information, address or zip code, and project details with one or more contractors in our network so they can contact you. Message and data rates may apply. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying STOP to a text or by telling us by phone or email.
We share your information only with contractors we refer you to. We do not sell or give it to anyone else, such as marketers or list brokers.
You agree that the information you give us is accurate, and that you own the property or are authorized to request work on it.
Contractors usually reach out within 24 hours, but we cannot guarantee when, or whether, a contractor will contact you or be available. We are not an emergency service. For a gas leak, fire, flooding, or any situation that puts people or property in immediate danger, call 911 or your utility company first.
You are an independent business. You are solely responsible for:
You agree to give us proof of your registration, licensing, and insurance when we ask, and to tell us right away if any of them lapse.
When we have a lead that fits your trade and service area, we will contact you to offer it. A lead is "qualified" when we have confirmed the homeowner's contact information is real and reachable, spoken with the homeowner about the scope of the job, and confirmed the property is in your service area and the job matches your trade.
We send each lead to one contractor, unless the homeowner asks us for more than one quote. If that happens, we will tell you before you accept the lead.
You accept a referral when you tell us you want it, whether by phone, in person, by text, or by email. A verbal acceptance is just as binding as a written one.
By accepting a referral, you agree to pay the qualified lead fee for that lead and the referral percentage on any job that closes with that homeowner, as described in these Terms. We keep a record of each acceptance, including the date, the homeowner, and how you accepted, and those records are used to determine what you owe. If you don't want a lead, tell us before you accept it and you won't be charged.
Qualified lead fee. $35 per qualified lead for small, lower-cost jobs and services, $50 per qualified lead for lower-ticket trades, and $75 per qualified lead for higher-ticket and technical trades. We will confirm which fee applies to your trade, and to smaller jobs, when you join. The lead fee is owed for each lead you accept, whether or not the job closes.
Referral percentage on closed jobs. When a referred job closes, you owe a percentage of the closed job value:
Jobs under $500 owe the lead fee only.
Lead fee credit. The lead fee you already paid is credited against the referral percentage on the same job. For example, a $6,000 job closes at the 3% tier, so $180 is owed. The $75 lead fee already paid is credited, leaving $105. If the referral percentage is less than the lead fee, nothing more is owed, and the lead fee is not refunded.
What "closed" means. A job is closed when the homeowner signs a contract, accepts your estimate, or pays a deposit, whichever happens first. The "closed job value" is the total price agreed between you and the homeowner for the work, not counting sales tax, including any change orders, add-ons, and additional work you agree to for that homeowner.
Once you accept a referral, you are responsible for contacting the homeowner, scheduling the appointment, giving the estimate, and closing the job. We do not sell, negotiate, or close jobs on your behalf, and you cannot rely on us to close a job for you. We are not responsible if a referral does not turn into work.
You must tell us in writing, by text or email, within 7 days after a referred job closes. Include the homeowner's name, a short description of the job, and the closed job value. You must also tell us in writing within 7 days of any change order or additional work that changes the closed job value. A phone call alone does not count. Follow it with a text or email so there is a record.
We also follow up with homeowners directly, and we may confirm with them whether a job closed and for how much. If we learn that a referred job closed and was not reported to us, we will invoice you for the referral percentage based on the best information we have, and we may remove you from our network.
A homeowner we refer to you remains our referral for 12 months from the date you accept the lead. The referral percentage applies to every job you close for that homeowner during those 12 months, including later jobs. You agree not to avoid fees by closing a job outside these Terms, for example by having the homeowner contract with a related business.
We send invoices electronically. Payment is due within 15 days of the invoice date, by credit or debit card or bank transfer (ACH), with no processing fees. If an invoice is not paid on time, we may pause or stop sending you referrals until your account is current. Unpaid balances may be sent to collections, and to the extent the law allows, you will be responsible for reasonable costs of collection, including attorney's fees.
If a lead you accepted turns out to be unreachable or invalid, for example a wrong number or a duplicate, tell us in writing within 7 days of accepting it. We will review it and may credit the lead fee.
Joining our network does not give you an exclusive territory or trade, and we do not guarantee any number of leads or that any lead will turn into a job.
You may use a homeowner's information only to contact them about the project we referred. You may not sell or share it with anyone else.
We may decline any application, and we may remove any contractor from our network at any time, for any reason, including homeowner complaints, a lapsed registration, license, or insurance policy, or unpaid invoices. You may leave the network at any time by telling us. Fees for referrals you accepted before leaving or being removed remain owed, including referral percentages on jobs that close afterward.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless South Jersey Home Repairs, LLC and its owner from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from your work, your dealings with homeowners, your employees or subcontractors, or your violation of these Terms or the law.
If you sign a separate written agreement with us, that agreement controls wherever it differs from these Terms.
Our website and referral service are provided "as is." We do not promise that the website will always be available or free of errors, or that any referral will meet your needs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, South Jersey Home Repairs is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or cost arising from work performed or not performed by any contractor, or from any dealings between homeowners and contractors. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to our service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited under New Jersey law.
If you give us a review or testimonial and agree that we may use it, we may show it on our website and in our marketing with your first name and town.
The content of this website, including text, logos, and images, belongs to South Jersey Home Repairs, LLC and may not be copied for commercial use without our permission.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any dispute related to these Terms or our service will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Using our service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Changes to contractor fees apply only to referrals accepted after we notify you of the change.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms still apply.
